Contact Lens Exam

Eye exams for contact lens-wearers start with the normal eye examination and  will include additional testing to ensure that the lenses worn are appropriate for optimal vision, comfort, and eye health. The contact lens prescription, eye-teaming and focusing, and internal and external eye health are also evaluated.

An undervalued part of this exam is a review of ongoing eye health and recommendations to correct any misconceptions of correct contact lens and eye health care.  As most contact lens wearers will attest either they have personally failed to provide correct care of their contact lenses or they know somebody who does.  These shortcomings can result in eye disease so horrific most people cannot fathom them.  We take pride that we take the time to communicate in ways the patients can easily understand the “why” behind the “how” we advise patients to care for their contact lenses and their eyes!
